Community art collaborations and workshops

Collaborative School Projects

A collaboration with The Bryn Mawr School's 6th grade class in Baltimore, Maryland, these pieces are inspired by the 6th grade class's studies of overfishing and pollution in the Chesapeake Bay, and are handmade collaboratively in a unique creative upcycling workshop using transformed and repurposed household trash collected by the 6th graders, their families, and their teachers. Each sea creature is 36-inch wide and depicts native Chesapeake species. Through creative upcycling, students explored creativity, ecology, stewardship, and the power of turning environmental care into public art.

Creative Upcycling Workshops

Hands-on workshops where participants upcycle discarded materials into personal mandalas, engaging in a creative ritual of mindfulness, healing, and ecological stewardship. Alchemizing trash into treasure, waste into wonder, and debris into divinity, results in a talisman of transformation.
